The iconic hit TV show Friends is celebrating its 25th anniversary, because of how relevant the show was and still is, brands have been collaborating with Warner Brothers to create Friends inspired merchandise. We have seen a lot of creative collaborations from brands like Pottery Barn, Lego and there has even been a pop-up event in New York. Friend’s fans have been eating it all up, enjoying the nostalgia it all brings. One brand has recently jumped on the Friends train and that brand is Ralph Lauren. Ralph Lauren has released a ready-to-wear collection modelled after character Rachel Green.
Ralph Lauren Gets in on Friends Action with a Rachel Collection
The high-end brand is calling the collection the Rachel Collection. Fans of the show will know how iconic and significant this collection is seeing as Rachel worked in Ralph Lauren for years on the show. The character was also very fashionable in the show and was a style icon during the shows run. She inspired hundreds of shag haircuts in the late 90s.
Ralph Lauren worked on the ready-to-wear collection with, Warner Bros. Consumer Products. The Rachel collection includes autumnal pieces like turtlenecks, black leather trousers and crested blazers, as well as lots of plaids. The Rachel collection will be available at some Bloomingdale’s locations, including New York’s 59th Street flagship, which will house its own replica of the show’s Central Perk coffee shop later this month. Fans of the show will also see the irony of the Bloomingdale’s collaboration, seeing as the character also worked at Bloomingdales in the show. The installation will travel to other Bloomingdale’s locations in New York, Florida, Connecticut and New Jersey.
Fans of the show are ecstatic with the news, their excitement suggests that we’ve yet to reach peak Friends nostalgia.
