It was recently announced that Procter and Gamble have acquired Walker & Company. Walker& Company is the company responsible for the Bevel grooming line. The announcement was made by Tristan Walker, the founder and CEO of the grooming company.

Walker& Company was founded five years ago by Tristan Walker. The brand is the creators Bevel, the grooming care line, which popularly produced the Bevel shaving products marketed for men of colour. The brand also launched Form a collection of hair products
About the P&G Acquisition of Walker & Company
According to reports, Tristan Walker will remain the CEO of the company and will report directly to Alex Keith, president of P&G global hair care and beauty business. The financial terms of the deal are yet to be disclosed, some speculate it is between $20 million and $40 million. Reports also state that within the first half of 2019, Walker and his current team of 15 employees will relocate to Atlanta. Atlanta is where the P& G headquarters is located.
The combination of these two companies promises to be very successful. Walker& Company will be bringing its understanding and authentic connection with the people of colour plus its products which is highly customized to meet the needs of people of colour. While P& G will bring it’s highly-skilled and experienced people, resources, technical capabilities and global scale to the partnership.
P&G and Tristan Walker Speak on the Acquisition
Speaking on the acquisition, P&G stated that they acquired Walker & Company to help them better serve consumers of colour around the world. Alex Keith the CEO of P&G beauty said that the P& G family had deep respect for work Tristan and the Walker Company have done. He expressed the company’s excitement to be welcoming the grooming line to its big family. Alex Keith said that the combination of the two companies will help improve the lives of their multicultural consumers.
Tristan Walker also spoke about the acquisition, he said that having access to P& G tech, capabilities and expertise will help them accelerate their vision while giving them the power to scale. He mentioned that the partnership with P&G will still allow the brand to stay true to their mission as they continue to nurture their loyal community.
