Leo season is here! To celebrate the season of one of the more expressive of the astrological signs, Pandora and Astrology.com partnered up. The two brands partnered up to celebrate Leo season by building a playlist of songs from artists who are Leos.  The songs featured on the playlist showcase these famous Leo’s “bold self-expression.”

The Leo season playlist recently went live to coincide with the beginning of the season. According to the brands, they plan to roll out the more astrological themed playlist. They will release playlist for the other signs and they will be rolled out at the beginning of their respective seasons. The Leo season playlists will feature confirmed bops like Mick Jagger’s “Beast of Burden,” Shawn Mendes’ “If I Can’t Have You,” Demi Lovato’s “Sorry Not Sorry” and Kacey Musgraves’ “Rainbow.” Pandora and Astrology.com’s partnership has been teased with a custom celestial sign. The custom celestial sign has been rolled out across channels. According to sources close the deal, the partnership has been in the works for almost a year.

Pandora and Astrology.com Speak on their Partnership and Leo Season Playlist

Senior Astrologer Narayana Montufar spoke about the Leo Playlist. He analyzed some of the songs on the playlist. He said “Love- and romance-obsessed, it’s no surprise for Leos to intensely wear their hearts on their sleeve, like in Demi Lovato’s ‘Sorry Not Sorry,’ a vengeful shout out to an ex in which she’s ‘Feeling inspired ’cause the tables have turned”.

Alex White, VP content and programming at Pandora also about the partnership. He talked about how Zodiac signs are something people have “varying degrees of attachment” to. White explained that the attachment can range from “complete obsession” to “casually associating”. He explained that the partnership felt like a good way to attract new listeners to the streaming service. Jennifer Cacace, the director of social media at Pandora also spoke about the partnership. She stated that it felt like a great fit as a music platform to bring themselves into that conversation and offer up a fun playlist compiling different artists.

Josh Jaffe, GM of Horoscope.com Inc also spoke about the partnership. He commended Pandora for doing it and being the first to do it. He also stated that they did it best and he really respects them. Jaffe talked about how their reach is tremendous and how he feels it was a very good match.
