At the 2019 Nigeria Tech Innovation & Telecom Awards (NTITA), MTN was named Nigeria’s most innovative Telco. This would be the second year in a row MTN would be crowned the Best Innovation for Enterprise Service at NTITA.

About NTITA

NTITA is organized by Instinct Wave and Association of Telecom Companies of Nigeria (ATCON). It is a platform created to celebrate the continued growth and success of the ICT marketplace. It also focuses on the exceptional and innovative performers within the industry. This year’s edition was the third edition and it was held at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos.

MTN Is Nigeria’s Most Innovative Telco

At this year’s NTITA, MTN won the Best Innovation for Enterprise Service. Apart from the award, the Telco also won the Social Impact Award. It was a big day for the Telco, asides the two awards they won, their Chairman, Dr Ernest Ndukwe was also inducted into the NTITA Hall of Fame.

MTN Speaks on the Award

Chief Corporate Relations Officer, MTN Nigeria, Tobechukwu Okigbo received the awards and spoke on winning. He expressed the organisation’s gratitude to have won the two awards.  Okigbo stated that the brand doesn’t take it for granted any time their work is recognized with awards such as the NTITA. He explained that it is a testament to their commitment to producing excellent results across all touchpoints.

He stated that they will continue to put in their collective best to exceed the expectations placed on them, not just in the categories they won, but across board.

ATCON Speaks about NTITA

The President of ATCON, Olusola Teniola spoke about NTITA. She explained, that the annual NTITA has, in a short period, become a notable forum where players in the highly competitive telecoms industry are commended for their outstanding contribution to the industry while also bringing government’s attention to areas that require intervention.
