Macaulay Culkin Poses with an Iguana for ‘Happy Socks’ Christmas Ad

Swedish Fun socks brand Happy Socks recently released a Christmas Ad to promote the brand. The brand enlisted the help of former child star actor Macaulay Culkin to help promote its products. Macaulay Culkin who is iconically linked to the holiday season for his role as Kevin in the Home Alone franchise films seems to be the perfect fit for the ad. Culkin has also stared in other Christmas ads like Google’s Google Assistant ad knows a thing or two about Christmas ads. For its Christmas ad, Happy socks had the former child star actor star in a series of silly ‘Naughty or Nice’ poses, including a few with a ribbon-wrapped iguana.

About the Christmas Spot with Macaulay Culkin

Happy Sock’s Christmas ad starts with a close-up of the big lizard and Culkin’s hands. His hands are beautifully painted and he dons a few rings.  We then see him sitting on a chair, wearing an ugly sweater, tweed pants, tassel loafers and a pair of red snowman socks.  Culkin the poses and makes many silly faces. He then says “Every day is a holiday, except for, you know, the holidays.”

After he says that, he then poses with a Jello mould of Happy Socks, then states “I’m getting too old for this shit,” before the spot states “Happy Holidays” and finishes its merriment. The campaign extends online with Culkin’s own picks for gift boxes, along with a photo of the star with the ability to add digital stickers.

Macaulay Culkin Speaks about the Happy Socks Ad

Macaulay Culkin spoke about starring in the Happy Socks Christmas ad. He commended the brand, stating that they both have really good taste in spokesman. Culkin spoke about how Christmas is his time of year. He says that gets recognized 10 times more between the months of November and January and he doesn’t know the reason why.
