The win for Anomaly comes after a very competitive review, they beat out many other big agencies. Such agencies include Wieden & Kennedy, Lucky Generals and 72 and Sunny. They took the account from 72 and Sunny who handled the account before the review. 72 and Sunny handled the global account for about one and a half years, while Anomaly handled only the US account. 72 and Sunny took the account from Anomaly who handled the account since 2014. Before 2014, BBH handled the brand’s global creative account and they handled it for about 15 years. BHH is responsible for the liquor brand’s iconic “Keep Walking”.
Johnnie Walker has decided to consolidate its global account and the creative agency has regained its position. According to sources, the creative agency will be running the liquor brand’s creative account from its London office. This is a major win for the creative agency seeing as the liquor brand’s sales have jumped by 9 per cent in the last half of 2018. According to the brand’s earnings press release, the jump in net sales was largely driven by the brand’s special edition Game of Thrones branded whisky. The special edition Game of Thrones branded whisky is called White Walker.
