Dufil Launches “My Indomie My Recipe” Campaign


Dufil Prima Foods the makers of Indomie Instant Noodles, one of Nigeria’s leading Instant Noodles brands recently launched a new campaign and competition. The campaign is titled “My Indomie My Recipe” campaign. They also launched a cooking competition to help promote this campaign. The competition is aimed at young Nigerian couples.

About the “My Indomie My Recipe” Campaign and Competition

The cooking competition that accompanies the “My Indomie My Recipe” campaign was created to help deepen the discussion that surrounds cooking among young couples in Nigeria. The cooking competition aims to grow the narratives about the role of couples in the kitchen. With the campaign, Indomie is answering the question of who should cook when both husband and wife return from work tired? The idea behind the “My Indomie My Recipe” campaign is to provide a solution to couples and people who find it hard to cook a meal after a hard day at work. Indomie with the competition and campaign will give 8 amazing and easy recipes on its Indomie Life TV YouTube Page. With the campaign and the recipes, Indomie is saying that the cooking can be done by anyone, even someone who doesn’t have any skill in the kitchen.

Details about the Campaign and Competition

 Indomie plans to promote this campaign digitally with the social media hashtag #MyIndomieMyRecipe. It will be featured in all their social networks. The “My Indomie My Recipe” campaign and competition has started and will end on the 14th of March 2019. People who participate in the competition have the chance to win various Indomie products. The grand prize is a date with hip hop artists Ice Prince and actress Sharon Ooja. Apart from the date, the winner will also take home a cash price of N 100,000 cash prize. 

Dufil also plans to announce weekly and daily winners which they plan to reward with various prizes. Before the campaign was officially launched Ice Prince and Sharon Ooja already started to debate about who should cook when they return from work tired. They had this debate on Twitter, with each person giving a reason why the other should do the cooking. Their debate created some buzz on social media and caught the attention of their fans.

How the Competition Works

To participate in the competition, participants are expected to:

  1. Prepare their favourite meal from the My Indomie My recipe playlist on the Indomie Live Tv channel on Youtube.
  2. Take a picture of the meal with an Indomie pack by the meals side.
  3. Post the picture on social media and add the hashtags #MyIndomieMyRecipe and #MyIndomieMyStlye.
  4. They should get as many likes on the post as possible

The selected entries will be reposted on the brand’s official page, with the winner getting their prizes.
