Diesel and Coca-Cola Raise Awareness around Recycling with Clothing Range

Clothing brand Diesel and beverage brand Coca-Cola recently partnered together to design a new clothing range. Diesel and Coca-Cola’s clothing range was designed to raise awareness around recycling. The Diesel and Coca-Cola range is called Recollection and it was made from recycled materials.

About Recollection, Diesel and Coca-Cola’s New Clothing Range

Recollection was created from recycled materials like plastic bottles and recycled cotton. By using recycled materials to create the clothing range, Diesel and Coca-Cola are trying to raise awareness about the value of recycling. Recollection has different types of clothing items. These items include sweatshirts and T-shirts. They are available in a range of colours including; black and white.

Recollection has already been showcased at the Paris Fashion Week. They plan to still showcase it at other Fashion Weeks. It will be showcased in London, Berlin, Milan, Tokyo, Shanghai, Beijing, Amsterdam, New York, etc. Recollection will officially be available at selected Diesel stores worldwide and on diesel. com from 7 October.

Coca-Cola Speaks about Recollection

Michelle Moorehead, vice president of global licensing and retail for The Coca-Cola Company spoke about the range. She shared the brand’s excitement to partner with Diesel to create the collection. Moorehead explained that Recollection doesn’t just generate awareness of the importance of recycling in a very approachable way by showcasing beautiful fashions created from recycled materials. But it also celebrates individuality.

Ishteyaque Amjad, vice-president- public affairs, communications & sustainability at Coca-Cola India & South West Asia also spoke about the collection. He stated the collaboration is the first of its kind for Coca-Cola and is part of their mission to create a World Without Waste. They plan to do this by helping collect & recycle the equivalent of every bottle that they sell by 2030.

Diesel Speaks on the Collection

Renzo Rosso, founder of Diesel also spoke about the collection. He stated it was inspired by their vision of the future. Rosso explained that they are collaborating with Coca-Cola to explore new methods of creating fabrics, whilst challenging themselves to incorporate recycled materials in their collections.
