Comic-Con Africa 2019 is Going to be Bigger and Better


Reed Exhibitions Africa and ReedPOP have recently announced that the second edition of Comic-con Africa will be held at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, Johannesburg. The Comic-Con Africa 2019 will be a four-day event and will hold from the 21st  of September to the 24th of September 2019.

Comic-Con Africa is a multi-genre entertainment, comic and fan convention.  It is organized by the Reed Exhibitions and ReedPOP.  ReeedPOP organizes the New York Comic-Con, Emerald City Comic and other popular pop culture events. Comic-Con Africa 2018 was a huge success, the 2018 event welcomed over 45 000 visitors, 212 exhibitors and almost 400 media. The 2018 event was a 3-day event and guests were treated to a wide range of amazing and entertaining events. Big Bang Theory star Kevin Sussman and American Gods actor Ricky Whittle were in attendance. After the huge success of last year’s event, many fans have eagerly been waiting for news about the second edition.

Well, fans of Comic-Con Africa can breathe easy, because Comic-con Africa 2019 is happening. It is going to be even bigger and better than last year. Comic-Con Africa 2019 will hold at the Gallagher Convention Center. The event centre is much bigger than the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit & International Convention Centre, last year’s event centre.  Gallagher Convention centre has a capacity of over 80,000 people. It has more parking spaces, more shade and is easily accessible.

Comic-Con Africa 2019 will focus on all elements of pop culture which includes Cosplay, comic books, anime, manga, films and series, games and books/authors. It will also feature a large range of pop culture and entertainment elements in animation, toys, gadgets, and clothing.
