Choice Hotels one of the world’s largest and most successful hotel franchisors recently announced that Mckinney will be handling its creative account. They will be working with Mckinney to develp a new creative platform. Mckinney will also be providing Choice Hotels with strategic and creative insight across their entire portfolio. This is a big win for Mckinney seeing as the hotel franchise has a large portfolio which spans their subsidiary brands like Quality Inn, Comfort Hotels ,Sleep Inn, Mainstay Suites, Econo Lodge and Cambria Hotels, among others.
McCann preciously handled Choice Hotel’s creative account, they picked up the account in 2014. They parted ways in July 0f 2018. Mckinney will start work with the Hotel franchisors this month.

The financial terms of the agreement are yet to be disclosed, but we know that Choice Hotels spends about $30 million per year on marketing worldwide. Like it was said earlier McKinney will be working with hotel franchisors to develop a new creative platform for its entire portfolio. The creative agency will lead all strategic and creative development across all broadcast, digital, print, social, radio, and out-of-home platforms for Choice Hotels and its individual brands. McKinney will run this account from their headquarters in Durham, N.C.
McKinney and Choice Hotels Speak on the Partnership
According to a rep from Choice Hotels Brent Bouldin the VP of marketing and customer acquisition, their team was impressed with McKinney. McKinney impressed the Hotel franchisors team with its creative thinking, deep insights and strategic vision. Brent Bouldin said that during their nation-wide agency search, it was clear that McKinney was the right choice. The creative agency understood the franchise industry and audience. There was also cultural alignment between their two teams.
McKinney also made a statement about working with the hotel through its Managing director Gretchen Walsh. She said that their firm was thrilled to be working with the hotel franchisor and appreciated the amazing opportunity to work with them. Walsh said she looked forward to creating a multi-channel platform that will drive bookings growth and will increase the relevance of the brand for their millions.
