Bolt recently launched a new campaign called PLATE. FACE. SHARE. The campaign is aimed at promoting safety while using its app.

To promote the campaign, Bolt, the ride-sharing app sent out an email to all its users informing them about the campaign. They also promoted the campaign on all their social media platforms. The platforms include Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. According to the ride-sharing app, Bolt, they launched the campaign as a way to remind users to utilize the safety features available on your Bolt app. They encouraged users to make a habit of following the following steps for safer rides:
- Confirm that the number PLATE of your Bolt ride is the same as on the app.
- Make sure your driver’s face matches the picture on the app.
- Share your ETA with your friends, so they know where you are on every trip.

As part of the campaign promoting safety on its platform. The ride hailing service also announced that it has launched a Driver Verification Portal. According to the service, this Driver Verification Portal is the first of its kind in Nigerian ride-hailing history. Asides the verification portal, they have also launched SOS buttons on every Driver app. The SOS button was developed to protect users in the event of medical and security emergencies.
Bolt also created a quiz for the campaign. Users of the app can take the quiz on www.platefaceshare.com to get a safe rider certificate. Taking the quiz also gives users a chance to win an iPhone. Users were encouraged to visit their Instagram page @bolt_nigeria for more details on the giveaway.
