Audi just recently released a new campaign for its E-Tron SUV. The campaign includes a TV Spot, the spot address common perceptions about Electric vehicles. It tries to debunk these common misperceptions about electric vehicles. The spot comes before the launch of Audi’s E-Tron SUV in May.

About Audi’s E-Tron SUV Spot

The spot is a TV Spot and is titled “Not for You”. It was created with Venable Bell & Partners. The spot starts with a man in his bathrobe who is sceptically gazing at his neighbour’s Audi’s E-Tron SUV parked in the garage. As he looks at the car and wonders if the car is for him, his questions and perceptions are answered by the voice over. He is transported into several scenes and the voice over tackles his perceptions and scepticism with every new scene. The spot tackles fears like range, charging infrastructure and performance. In one of the shots, we can see Audi’s E-Tron SUV zooming through a desert landscape. This is the brand’s attempt to debunk the so-called “range anxiety” fears. The spot also shows how Audi’s E-Tron SUV can easily handle inclement weather.

Apart from the “Not for You” spot, the whole campaign includes an educational video. The education video is called “Range Tranquility,” it attempts to quell fears. The video states that 98 per cent of single-trip car rides in the U.S. are under 50 miles. According to the brand, Audi’s E-Tron SUV battery can take passengers multiple times farther with confidence.

Audi Speaks on the New Spot and Electric Cars

Loren Angelo the VP of marketing for Audi America made a statement about the spot and electric vehicles as a whole. He spoke about how the spot is part of their commitment to electrification. They recognized the need for more consumer education on what it really means to ‘go electric’, this is how the spot was born. According to Angelo, their goal for the ad and their Super Bowl spot Cashew is to ensure consumers have a better understanding of electric vehicles. They want to debunk some long-standing myths about electric vehicle ownership.

The vehicle, which has a starting price tag of a $74,800, has an EPA-estimated range of 204 miles. Audi’s E-Tron SUV has electric motors which are capable of pushing the car from zero to 60 miles-per-hour in 5.5 seconds. It is the first of three battery electric vehicles the luxury brand will introduce over three years.
