Amstel Malta the official malt drink for the official malt drink of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) and supporter of the Nigerian Super Falcons recently launched a new campaign to support the Super Falcons at the Women’s World Cup. With the campaign, Amstel Malta is trying to celebrate and applaud the female national team for qualifying for the 8th FIFA Women’s World Cup. They also want to throw their support the team as the go-to compete.
The campaign is titled ‘We’ve Got Balls’ and it aims to celebrate and highlight the strength, fortitude and bravery of the Nigerian woman. They want to celebrate the Nigerian woman who against all odds, thrives and wins just like the Super Falcons
About Amstel Malta’s ‘We’ve Got Balls’ Campaign’
The Super Falcons won the AWCON in Ghana and therefore will be one of the teams representing Africa at 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The Women’s World Cup is being held in France and a lot of brands both International and local are throwing their support behind each of the teams competing. With the campaign, Amstel Malta is offering its encouragement and support to help keep the winning spirit of the Super Falcons alive. The female national team has continued to show remarkable spirit, hard work and resolve. They have won nine African championships and will be competing in the earth’s greatest sporting spectacle for women. For the campaign, Amstel Malta will be releasing an ad which was produced by award-winning movie and music video director, Kemi Adetiba. It was also captured by leading contemporary Nigerian photographer, Yetunde Ayeni-Babaeko.
The campaign features a historic all-female cast and crew with Nollywood, music and entertainment stars. The stars include Tiwa Savage, Dakore Egbuso– Akande, Tonto Dikeh, Ihuoma Linda Ejiofor–Suleiman and Cynthia Nwadiora (Cee C). The campaign also features Super Falcon players; Asisat Oshoala, Onome Ebi, Rita Chikwelu, Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene and Tochukwu Oluehi.
Amstel Malta Speaks on the We’ve Got Balls Campaign
The brand’s portfolio manager of non-alcoholic brand Ngozi Nkwoji spoke on the campaign. She stated that the Super Falcons have over time proven the power of women. Nkwoji stated that the brand wants to encourage and joined other endearing Nigerians to join them cheer them one to gold. She also expressed the pride the brand feels to be associated with the female national team and their winning spirit. A winning spirit that has pushed them to become trailblazers for women’s football in Africa and global football.
Nkwoji also talked about how to brand believes that it is important to celebrate women in our society who take on outstanding feats and come out on top. She stated that by lifting the veil on the power of women it shows the rest of the country, the continent and indeed the world what Nigerian women are capable of and these women who have proved themselves to be the best in Africa, epitomise that
