The African SABRE Awards for 2019 is now open for entries. This will be the 3rd edition of the prestigious award ceremony in Africa. The SABRE awards have a 25-year legacy, the awards run in other parts of the world. The awards run in North America, EMEA, Latin America, South Asia and the Asia-Pacific.

About the Africa SABRE Awards

The 2019 Africa SABRE Awards will be the third time the award competition will be held in Africa. The awards competition recognizes the best PR work in Africa. It recognizes the best achievements in branding, reputation and engagements.  It is open to public relations agencies, marketing and corporate communications department for companies, non-profits and governments.

The awards usually attract entries from all over the continent, they spotlight great work in different markets and different areas. They usually showcase how great African work is to the global PR community. Usually, the winners of the African SABRE awards automatically enter the broader EMEA region SABRE Awards. They also entered into the Global SABRE Awards.

About 2019 Africa SABRE Awards

The 3rd edition of the Africa SABRE Awards will be presented at the APRA conference in Kigali. It will hold from the 13th of May to the 17th of May 2019.  It is being conducted in partnership with The Holmes Report and the African Public Relations Association. The 3rd edition of the Africa SABRE Awards will be expanded with two additional awards. The African consultancy of the year and Outstanding Individual Achievement which is usually presented at EMEA. This year for the first time these awards will extend to the individual awards presented in the America, EMEA and Asia-Pacific into Africa.

In a statement about the 2019 awards, the Vice President of APRA and CEO of BCW Africa, Robyn de Villiers expressed his delight about the Awards. He said that they are delighted that the number of entries keeps increasing yearly. He also expressed their pride in the quality of work that has been entered. Robyn de Villiers spoke about the joy he felt when he sees his PR colleagues in Africa winning larger geographic SABRE awards.
